SCHOLASTIC OLYMPICS
This
is an annual event among our six S.A.L.S.A. schools (Sheboygan Area Lutheran
School Association). Each school selects its top students in grades 5/6
and 7/8 to participate.
Teams compete at their respective levels by responding to sixty academic
questions (three rounds of twenty questions per round) that are orally given by
an adult “reader”. A
team has ten seconds to respond to a given question after the team has “buzzed in”
before the opposing team does. Schools
play one another on a round-robin basis. The final competition is held at
Sheboygan Lutheran High School in the spring of each year.
